I <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">tried</span> everything to get the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">ammonia</span> scent out of my diapers:sunshine, bleach, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">sportswash</span>, white vinegar, etc. The only thing that was working for me was using a small amount of bleach. Not only was his diapers smelling like <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">ammonia</span> first thing in the morning, it was burning his little bottom. I was using the dry pail method and that was my problem!</div><br /><div>For the past couple of weeks I have been trying the wet pail method. I use my same laundry bucket that I used for my dry pail. Now I just fill it half full with water and add a 1/4 cup of borax or 1/4c baking soda. I let my diapers soak for a few days before washing them. The <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">ammonia</span> problem is gone. Now I don't have to use any bleach!!! </div><br /><div>From my own experience I think a dry pail works great when you are washing diapers more frequently. For more info on dry pail vs wet pail visit: <a href="http://www.zany-zebra.com/cloth-diaper-pail.shtml">http://www.zany-zebra.com/cloth-diaper-pail.shtml</a></div><br /><div>Just remember if you use the wet pail method in your home-keep your small children away from it!!! It is possible for them to drown in the bucket. Keep it up high, or under your bathroom sink with the doors locked.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186971262912285638.post-32070349155082501172008-09-10T14:52:00.000-07:002008-09-10T14:55:09.119-07:00Try cloth diapers out for $10<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/images/logo.jpg"></a>Interested in cloth diapering but having trouble deciding which type of diaper is right for you? The result is a strong amonia smell! Wow it can almost knock you out. The only thing that works for me is to wash them like I normally do and then dry them for about 10 minutes in the dryer, and the rest in the sun. The sun is a powerful source heat! Also works great at removing stains in the diapers.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186971262912285638.post-10752850665904536882008-04-03T12:52:00.000-07:002008-04-14T13:07:26.445-07:00Why Cloth Diapers?<a href="http://www.etsyclothdiapers.com/"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5189193364763463778" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR-1y_MO_dc9DhG9OoFBRzpmXj2Stg8iJyFfy04DFPUYx_yF8iISoA_zDAX7lgOEHvUjtPfEr-Z59SHAATdvA6nMnzDxuKw4UAo_YxlXsMOTFcIF8H8dn5ujS4gBSxCaiyGjhdRpR1PsCN/s200/etsy.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6zYSIXLxjyYwxLJQ3lpmJ8EuEQzX9-BuYOOTjcwOnhGeb2JefVTpU_DxSeJCScDATPITwMY_Ad1P2RO-dqkDffY8rQIHw7VFFNBdUBkuYpF3uoPbTUzCTI_Hg9HidhXGeNZ1XIJAFh4C8/s1600-h/147971_498887.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185113322138468370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6zYSIXLxjyYwxLJQ3lpmJ8EuEQzX9-BuYOOTjcwOnhGeb2JefVTpU_DxSeJCScDATPITwMY_Ad1P2RO-dqkDffY8rQIHw7VFFNBdUBkuYpF3uoPbTUzCTI_Hg9HidhXGeNZ1XIJAFh4C8/s320/147971_498887.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>One day I'm sitting in playgroup with my son Mason. One of the mothers in our group starts talking about how she started using <a href="http://www.etsyclothdiapers.com/index.php?page=why_use_cloth">cloth diapers</a>. She shows me the cute pink one on her daughter and Bam!! I'm hooked on cloth. My husband and sisters first reactions were "have you lost your mind?" So have I?? No. It been almost a year now of using them with my son and I love them. I can't wait to have another baby just so I can sew up some more. I've been doing a lot of research on my own with different fabrics, I've even been giving them to other mothers to try. I really want to get the word out!! I love it!! Easy to sew, soft and trim. It's a good thing Mason still wears diapers at night so that I can test all my findings out on him.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2186971262912285638.post-68955073065543860602008-03-09T20:16:00.000-07:002008-04-03T13:12:37.422-07:00Cloth Diapers<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1CiMBp8x93ashBHL1-ZNJ6gwrRkwAjqiH_lPvYySxp9d3ui3OKPwSpZKAWdrWpVbH0yTClus1So9octwf5oSxyKKnxDqEHu5w0y-HFX9m3iN8hl4NDzHaAOq8xz1Ce8pjNVw6MbJkdImZ/s1600-h/little_beetle_product_strip_green.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185114490369572898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1CiMBp8x93ashBHL1-ZNJ6gwrRkwAjqiH_lPvYySxp9d3ui3OKPwSpZKAWdrWpVbH0yTClus1So9octwf5oSxyKKnxDqEHu5w0y-HFX9m3iN8hl4NDzHaAOq8xz1Ce8pjNVw6MbJkdImZ/s320/little_beetle_product_strip_green.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>When my son Mason was just a little over the age of 2 I discovered the new world of cloth diapers. Now I'm addicted to making them. I'm still trying out different fabrics and patterns in search of the perfect diaper.<br />I'm so excited about cloth diapers that I have begun teaching others. I just held my first diaper making class in February for the sisters of my ward. I had nine sisters in my class. I believe it was a sucess.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
